Aurora University Athletics in conjunction with BSN Sports proudly announces the inaugural recipients of the BSN Spartan Athletes of the Week award. The honors are earned based on the student-athletes performances on their respective playing surface the previous week.

This week's honors go to AU senior women's cross country runner Emma Jasutis and junior men's golfer Caleb Negley..

Caleb Negley, junior, men's golf - 
Negley earned the award after he captured medalist honors at the AU Double Gun for the second consecutive year, shooting rounds of 66 and 68 for a 10-under-par 134 total. The Spartans dominated the team competition with the team finishing at 1-under-par 575 with rounds of 285 and 290.

Emma Jasutis - senior, women's cross country - 
Jasutis earned the award after she finished second overall at the Aurora Spartan Classic while leading the host Spartans to a runner-up team finish. She covered the 6-kilometer course in 24:46.4, averaging 6:38.6 per mile. Aurora edged Lake Forest, 57-65, for second place behind team champion North Central (Ill.), which placed six in the top 12.
