The Aurora University men's soccer team again continued its strong start to the 2026 season on Wednesday night when they took on the Scarlet Hawks of Illinois Institute of Technology. Opening NACC play, AU proceeded to score three goals and take the win 3-2 over IIT.

- The Spartans, looking to improve to 2-0 in conference play, came out to play.
- It was Carlos Viayra with his third goal of the season in the fifth minute with an assist from Max Crawford to take an early 1-0 lead.
- Issa Mnangwa then scored his team-leading seventh goal of the season with help from Walter Delapaz in the 15th minute.
- The Spartans would take a foreshadowing 2-0 lead into halftime.
- Continue to control the game were the Spartans to start the second half when Crawford scored his first of the season with an assist from Viayra.
- AU had a 3-0 lead just three minutes into the second half.
- The Scarlet Hawks would finally have an answer for the Spartan offense, scoring in the 48th minute of the match.
- AU took a 3-1 lead all the way up until the final five seconds of the match.
- IIT would score their second goal of the game as time expired.
- The Spartans would take the win 3-2 and get to 1-0 in NACC play.
