Aurora University junior Mattias Morris has been named Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) Men's Golf Student-Athlete of the Week, as selected by the league's athletics communications professionals. 

Morris earned the award after he helped Aurora to the team title at the Carthage Firebird Fall Invitational. He finished fourth overall with a 36-hole total of 141 after posting scores of 72 and 69. The Spartans overcame a seven-shot deficit after day one to win their second title of the year, firing a season-low team score of 6-under-par 282 on day two to finish with an even-par 576 total and win by three strokes.

Next action for the Spartan men's golf team comes on Saturday, September 26 and Sunday, September 27 when they travel to the Whitworth University Chambers Bay Invitational in University Place, Washington at Chambers Bay Golf.
