2012: Receiving First-Team Midwest All-Region honors was junior pitcher Drew Gay. In addition to his ABCA/Rawlings First-Team All-Region honor, Gay was named a D3baseball.com Second-Team All-American and First-Team All-Region, as well as the 2012 Northern Athletics Conference Pitcher of the Year and First-Team All-Conference; the Pitcher of the Year award is his second in as many years. He led the Spartan pitching staff with an 8-0 record and a 1.63 earned-run average. In 77-1/3 innings pitched, he struck out 67 and opponents hit .220 against him.

2011: He was named the 2011 NAC Co-Pitcher of the Year as well as First-Team All-Conference. He led the Spartan pitching staff with a 7-3 record and a 2.84 earned run average. In 79-1/3 innings pitched, he has struck out 60.

High School: Attended Marquette High School and played one year of varsity baseball under Coach Todd Hopkins. He was named 2nd team All-Conference and team MVP.

Personal: Born 12/11/1987 in Peoria, Ill.

Family: Richard and Mary Gay. He has one brother.

Hobbies: Working out, playing basketball, and hanging out with friends.

Major: Coaching and Youth Sport Development.

Minor: Sports Management.
