Aurora University Athletics

2016: Was 20-9 with a 1.63 era and 195 strikeouts in 189 innings pitched. She was named NACC Pitcher of the Year, First Team All-Conference, First Team All-Region, and CoSIDA Academic All-America Team.

2015: Vanessa was 20-6 with a 1.28 era and 142 strikeouts in 169 innings pitched. She was named NACC Pitcher of the Year, First Team All-Conference, Second Team All-Region, NCAA Pella Regional All-Tournament Team and Academic All-American.

2014: Appeard in 29 games for the Spartans, starting in 22 of them. She had a record of 13-10 with a 2.54 earned run average. She was also named NACC Pitcher of the Year 2014 and NCAA Scholar Athlete.

2013: Appeared in 28 games for the Spartans starting in 23 of them. She had a record of 18-5 with a 1.64 earned run average. She pitched 17 complete games, five shutouts and 152 strikeouts in 148-1/3 innings. She was named a Second-Team Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference All-Conference and to the NACC All-Freshman Team. She was also named a NACC Scholar-Athlete.

High School: Graduated from Bishop Noll Institute in 2012 where she participated in softball.  She received four varsity letters in softball and was named First Team All-Conference all four years, Second Team All-Area her freshman, sophomore, and junior year.  First Team All-Area her senior year, Team Captain her senior year, Team MVP her freshman, sophomore, junior, and senior year, and finished high school breaking several records with a career total of 919 strike outs, 0.97 ERA, and 59 totals wins.

Hobbies: I love to play softball and I sometimes read when I get the chance. 

Major: Criminal Justice.      

Minor: Biology and Psychology.
