2015: Attended Aurora University and was a member of the Spartan Women's Cross Country team. Closed out the season with a 24:52.1 6K at the NCAA Midwest Regional Championship

2014: Attended Aurora University and was a member of the Spartan Women's Cross Country team. Sped to a 24:23.2 season best at the NACC Championship, placing 19th.

High School: Graduated from Oswego East High School where she ran track and cross country.

Family: Parents Consuelo Romero-Avila and Jorge Portillo and she has one brother Jorge'Alonso and one sister Itzel.

Hobbies:  Collect tickets (movies, concerts, etc.)
