What is your favorite sports moment at AU?I would have to say it is probably beating BU for volleyball.
Â
What is your most memorable academic experience at AU?I think I would have to say is my huge psychology project I had to do and present to the psychology faculty was pretty memorable. I did not think I would ever get it done but it turned out to be fun.
Â
Why did you choose to attend Aurora University?I chose to attend Aurora University because when I first came on my visit the school seemed to be so close together. I met the volleyball girls, had lunch and saw that they were all so close. It was also very close to home and that ended up being a huge plus.
Â
Who is your all-time favorite athlete and why?Peyton Manning because he always leaves it all on the field and strives for excellence. He tries to better himself and his team all the time and learns what the opposing team is going to do for the sake of his team.
Â
What is your favorite class and why?I would have to say my photography class was my favorite because I was able to take some pictures and develop them on my own in the dark room. Being able to learn how to do that and actually develop them was pretty neat. I am starting to like Abnormal Psychology a lot too. I have a really good professor and she makes the topic really interesting.
Â
Who is your favorite professor and why?I have had three really good professors who are my favorite. The first one is Dr. Krause, she is so sweet and really caring towards her students and anyone in general. She goes out of her way to make sure you understand her classes. Another one is Dr. Schroth, I had her my freshman year and she was so energetic and had a passion for teaching her course. To this day I will see her on campus she says hi and she still knows me by my name. That is something I won't forget about a professor! The last professor being Dr. Shapiro, he is really down to earth and makes his classes so much fun.
Â
Other than the sport(s) you play, what other sports activity are you good at?I played softball for seven years.
Â
Outside of sports, what is your favorite hobby?Hanging out with my family and friends. I enjoy coaching as well!
Â
What is your favorite meal in the cafeteria? When they had the sandwich bar! I miss how it used to be my freshman year!!
Â
Who is your role model?Definitely my parents! They have taught me so much about what to expect, let alone about myself.
Â
What do you enjoy most about practice? The competition games that we play.
Â
What do you like least about practice?      Warming up! It's my least favorite compared to some drills we end up doing later on in practice.
Â
What are your plans/goals after graduation?        I'm hoping to get a job! I'm still unsure of what I really want to do with my life. Scared to say since I am more than half way done with my senior year!! (Lexi will graduate in December of 2014).
Â
Do you have any pregame rituals? I usually listen to three of my favorite songs every single time.
Â
What will you remember most from your college career? Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â The whole thing! From the faculty to the friends I made, I don't think I could forget about anything that had to do with my college career.
Â
As a senior, what advice would you give to freshman at AU?     Stay on top of your school work and to always work hard, not only in the sport you play but in the classroom as well! It is a huge adjustment to make from your senior year of high school to your freshman year of college. It's a big transition with balancing things. Another huge thing I would tell freshman is to try your best not to procrastinate!
