ArtWhat is your favorite sports moment at AU?I love every moment with my team but my junior year season 2015 was probably my overall favorite because we surprised the campus not only athletically with our success but academically as well.
What is your most memorable academic experience at AU?I struggled in highschool, so getting a 4.0 and being on the high honor roll and on the deans list was so incredible. Getting honored by the ICWLA was another thing that really made me feel accomplished.
Why did you choose to attend Aurora University?I really loved the campus and the fact that it was close enough to home that I could go home if I needed but far enough that I could get a fresh start.
Who is your all-time favorite athlete and why?Lyle Thompson, I love watching him play and I love everything he does, he's a team player and he plays true native american lacrosse.
What is your favorite class and why?I loved chemistry, even though I am a criminal justice major I was able to take a variety of classes and excel in multiple interests which was a lot of fun and a great experience.
Who is your favorite professor and why?David Dial, I had him my 1st year at AU and he is the head of my department, he has opened up so many opportunities for me and has taught me so much. I will be forever grateful for having him as a professor, even now, he is always teaching me new skills to help me succeed in life and in my career.
Other than the sport(s) you play, what other sports activity are you good at?I used to play basketball, and I love disc golf and ultimate frisbee.
Outside of sports, what is your favorite hobby?I love art, so anything crafty is a lot of fun for me to do.
What is your favorite meal in the cafeteria?French toast sticks were always the best. Breakfast is my favorite meal.
Who is your role model? My role model is my mother, she is always an inspiration and always helps other people. She is an amazing person.
What do you enjoy most about practice?Anything with a lacrosse stick in my hand, I love when I get to see drills and the plays that my coaches direct actually work and I get to see my teammate improve.
What do you like least about practice?Running sprints, I'm not the fastest girl on the team and its where I struggle most. That's why I love my teammates, they help me through it and keep me going. I run, I'm slower than a 90's internet dial up connection, but I run.
What are your plans/goals after graduation?I plan on taking a year off to explore my opportunities. I want to look into a law career to help defend the good police officers out there and bridge the gap between police and the community.
Do you have any pregame rituals?I always get there early, so I can get my mind in a game set of mind and I can't sit still, I sit in the same spot in the locker room, and I always wear eyeblack.
What will you remember most from your college career?I will remember my teammates, and the community that I was apart of at Aurora, I will remember the cleaning staff and the lunch ladies like Ede, and all of the relationships I made.
As a senior, what advice would you give to freshman at AU?Enjoy your time here. It goes so quick and have fun. You learn a lot about yourself in these 4 years.
