What is your favorite sports moment at AU?
Being able to play a sport that I love every day is the best moments at AU.

What is your most memorable academic experience at AU?
Being told I made the dean list.

Why did you choose to attend Aurora University?
I choose to come to Aurora University because I am close to home yet far enough away to be away. Also I came here to play baseball.

Who is your all-time favorite athlete and why?
To be honest, I don't have an all-time favorite athlete. Growing up I would have an favorite athlete from each sport but never one that was an all-time favorite.

What is your favorite class and why?
My favorite class right now is FIN 3480: Financial Markets and Institutions. I like this class because the markets are all around us and learning how they work really interests me.

Who is your favorite professor and why?
Professor Tarling. She is really good at making sure you understand the accounting before she moves on.

Other than the sport(s) you play, what other sports activity are you good at?
Basketball and Football. I played these also in high school. I would also play a pickup game if anyone asks. Always want to compete.

Outside of sports, what is your favorite hobby?
I grew up on a farm so being outside working in the field or just taking care of animals is one of my favorite things to do. Love spending hours driving a tractor in the field.

What is your favorite meal in the cafeteria?
My favorite meal in the cafe would be the Thanksgiving meal.

Who is your role model?
My role model is my dad. He taught me to work hard in everything I do and to be gentlemen.

What do you enjoy most about practice?
I really like to be in the outfield when position players are taking batting practice. I love to catch pop-ups and field ground balls. Live as a pitcher gets sometimes boring on the mound so being about to catch a pop up and making a game out of it is always fun.

What do you like least about practice?
Being a pitcher, the worst part of practice is not being able to throw against a hitter. I love to compete so I just want to battle against someone instead of just throwing a bullpen. Also running sometimes sucks but it’s part of being an athlete.

What are your plans/goals after graduation?
My plans after graduation are to get a job. Where at or doing what is still a mystery. Let’s get through the school year and then worry about that.

Do you have any pregame rituals?
Home games - I would get a large coke from McDonald and drink it on the way to the field.
Away Games - Arnold Palmer Ice Tea I would drink on the bus on the way to the game.

What will you remember most from your college career?
Just playing with guys that have the same passion for the game as you do.

As a senior, what advice would you give to freshman at AU?
It goes really quick. Take time and be thankful for everyday your able to play sports. Do something every day to get better.
