NursingWhat is your favorite sports moment at AU?Neely Marks hitting her first and only attempt at a three pointer for her senior night.
What is your most memorable academic experience at AU?Every week at Clinical because it reminds me that I am going to pursue such a rewarding career.
Why did you choose to attend Aurora University?Accredited Nursing program with the opportunity to play basketball as well.
Who is your all-time favorite athlete and why?Michael Jordan - my dad has recorded bulls game and I would watch them growing up. He commanded the game and had the utmost desire to win.
What is your favorite class and why?Med Surg Nursing - I learn something new every day in this class.
Who is your favorite professor and why?Suzanne Repavich - She incorporates life experiences into her lectures that make her classes memorable. She is always willing to help and share her plethora of knowledge.
Other than the sport(s) you play, what other sports activity are you good at?Softball and Volleyball
Outside of sports, what is your favorite hobby?Running
Who is your role model?My brother Brett Dorrington.
What do you enjoy most about practice?Competing
What do you like least about practice?How hot the gym gets.
What are your plans/goals after graduation?Work as a Pediatric Oncology Nurse at a hospital in Chicago.
Do you have any pregame rituals?During the national anthem I take deep breaths. When I inhale I tell myself, "I am strong and powerful," and when I exhale, "my name is Bethany Dorrington" I have been doing this for all of my sporting events since high school.
What will you remember most from your college career?All of the awesome teammates I have been able to befriend and play with.
As a senior, what advice would you give to freshman at AU?Don't take playing for granted... work as hard as you can everyday.
