Homeland SecurityWhat is your favorite sports moment at AU?Coming in to close the last two inning against Rockford at home and striking out 5 of 6 batters to end the regular season!
What is your most memorable academic experience at AU?Making all A's my second semester last year!
Why did you choose to attend Aurora University?I chose to attend AU because I had heard great things about the school, knew they had quite a bit of tradition and I wanted to be apart of that.
Who is your all-time favorite athlete and why?I think my all time favorite athlete would have to be Babe Ruth. I read about him all the time when I was little and following the history is what made me love the game of baseball.
What is your favorite class and why?My favorite classes are all of them because I love my field of criminal justice and I feel that all of my classes are very interesting!
Who is your favorite professor and why?My favorite Professor is Dave Dial. I met Dave last year being my first year. He had taken me under his wing and has ensured ever since then that I am successful. He has a great personality and I love going to his classes
Other than the sport(s) you play, what other sports activity are you good at?Other then baseball I am very good at playing ping pong if thats considered a sport.
Outside of sports, what is your favorite hobby?I love to go fishing, working on cars, and riding my motorcycle.
What is your favorite meal in the cafeteria?I would have to say it is the chicken nuggets.
Who is your role model?My two biggest role models are my Mom and Dad. I always look up to them and they are the ones that made me who I am today.
What do you enjoy most about practice?I just enjoy being around my teammates. I also enjoy going to practice because its an escape from life. You get to have fun for a couple hours and not have to think about life.
What do you like least about practice?When someone is having a bad day it tends to bring the others down so we try to always make sure that everyone is in a good mood.
What are your plans/goals after graduation?I plan to graduate in May and then I plan to get a job within the Criminal Justice field. I want to be able to help people!
Do you have any pregame rituals?I do not have any particular pregame rituals but I do try to keep myself calm and stay loose. Smiling and having fun along with showing the opponent that nothing is bothering you can be intimidating to them.
What will you remember most from your college career?I will remember most being able to be a starting pitcher in all 4 years that I played in college. The fact that I was relied on and needed in games and being able to play in big situations made my college experience that much better. I loved being a student athlete.
As a senior, what advice would you give to freshman at AU?My advice that I would give is to cherish every moment that you have and to take advantage of every opportunity that comes your way. Before you know it, you will blink your eyes and you will be senior and ask yourself where did the time go. Make the most of it!
