Aurora University women's cross country runner Anna Perkowski (River Grove, Ill./East Leyden H.S.) has been named Northern Athletics Conference Women's Cross Country Student-Athlete of the Week.
The AU junior led the Spartans to a ninth-place finish at the Augustana College Brissman/Lundeen Invitational. She set a personal best while being the top NAC finisher at the meet, which included runners from four conference teams. She finished 21st overall (out of 397) in the 6K with a time of 23:14.0.
The next action for Perkowski and the women's cross country team comes on Friday, September 28, 2012, when they travel to Rockford College. Meet time is set for 5:30 p.m. at Prairie Fields Park in Belvidere, Ill.
