Aurora University men's cross country runner Jimmy Baeskens (Upland, Calif./Claremont H.S.) has been named Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Men's Cross Country Student-Athlete of the Week.

The Spartan freshman won the Waubonsee Community College Chiefs Invitational, which had a field of 48 runners, with a finish of 28 minutes, 18 seconds in the 8K event.

Next action for the Spartan cross country team comes on Friday, September 6 when they host the Spartan XC Classic. Meet time is set for 5:00 p.m. at Oakhurst Forest Preserve in Aurora, Ill.
