Aurora University freshman Lisa Rodriguez (Sugar Grove, Ill./Aurora Central Catholic H.S.) was named the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Women's Indoor Track and Field Student-Athlete of the Week for the third time in 2014.
 
This week, Rodriguez helped the Spartans to a second-place finish at the University of Chicago Margaret Bradley Invitational, breaking her own school records in the 200-meter dash (25.98) and the 55-meter dash (7.53; 7.48 in preliminaries). She won both events while setting new AU marks.
 
Next action for the Spartan track and field team comes on Saturday, March 1 when they travel to the 2014 Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Championships at Carthage College. Meet time is set for 11:00 a.m. in Kenosha, Wis.
