Aurora University senior defensive midfielder Jason O’Brien (Naperville, Illinois/Waubonsie Valley H.S.) was named the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Men’s Soccer Student-Athlete of the Week.
 
O’Brien led AU to a 2-0 week with wins to start the 2014 season over Mon mouth College (2-0) and Lawrence University (3-0). He had two goals with both being the game-winning goals and added one assist. He also was part of the Spartan defense that collected a pair of shutout wins.
 
Next action for the Spartan men's soccer team comes on Friday, September 5 when they travel to Cornell College. Game time is set for 5:00 p.m. in Mount Vernon, Iowa.
