Aurora University women’s volleyball outside hitter Peyton McKenzie (Aurora, Illinois/West Aurora H.S.) has been named Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Women’s Volleyball Student-Athlete of the Week.
 
The AU sophomore was named MVP and to the All-Tournament team at the conclusion of the 2014 AU Jim Coleman Memorial Classic. She had 49 kills with a .410 kill percentage, and averaged 0.43 blocks per set in the four game classic. In a win over North Central College, McKenzie led with 16 kills, 12 digs and four blocks for the Spartans. 
 
Next action for the Spartan volleyball team comes on Tuesday, September 16 when they host Dominican University. The 2014 NACC opener is set for 7:00 p.m. in Thornton Gymnasium.
