Aurora University sophomore outside hitter Jack Fischer was named the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Division III Men's Volleyball Player of the Week.
 
Fischer helped AU to a 2-0 week with wins over Illinois Institute of Technology (3-1) and a big upset win over then ranked No. 3 Dominican University (3-2). He displayed consistency, swinging .321 on 28 attempts to secure a win against Illinois Institute of Technology while also recording six digs. The against Dominican he got even better, swinging .364 on 32 attempts to lock up an impressive victory. He added 11 digs as well. Over the two matches he averaged 3.11 kills per set while hitting .350 and picking up 1.88 digs per set.
 
On the season, Fischer is averaging 2.03 kills and 1.56 digs per set for AU who is currently 5-6 overall on the season and 4-1 in the NACC.
