Aurora University junior goaltender Chiara Pfosi was named the Northern Collegiate Hockey Association Women's Defensive Players of the week, the league office announced.
 
For Pfosi, this week's honor is the second NCHA Defensive Player of the Week recognition this season and the third time in her career after playing a significant role in AU's run out to a perfect 8-0 start to the campaign. She was impressive on the weekend, helping the Spartans claim 4-3 overtime and 4-1 regulation victories over Lake Forest. She made 80 saves in the two games with a 39-save performance in the overtime victory and a 41-save performance in the 4-1 decision. The 8-0 mark already ties the school record for most wins (third year of existence) set in 2018-2019.

On the season, Pfosi has allowed 1.36 goals against per game with one shutout and a .950 save percentage.
