Aurora University junior guard Julie Galauner received some post season recognition today as D3hoops.com released their 2019-2020 All-Region Teams.
Galauner was selected as a Third-Team selection in the Central Region (
complete all-region team) and will now more on to a potential All-American selection process. The D3hoops.com honor comes her previous accolades of a 2019-2020 Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference First-Team All-Conference selection.
On the season, Galauner averaged a team-leading 19.9 points with 4.6 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game. She shot 42.4-percent from the field and 42.0-percent from three-point range. Her 19.9 points per game is 23rd in Division III, while her 42.0 percent from three-point range is 15th.
The all-region selection is the second for Galauner as she was a Second-Team selection in the Central Region following the 2018-2019 season. During the 2019-2020 season, Galauner joined the AU women's basketball 1,000 point club and is fourth all-time with 1,433 points entering her senior season of 2020-2021.
The AU women finished the 2019-2020 season with a 15-11 overall record and went 11-9 in the NACC, finishing in sixth place.
Players chosen to the D3hoops.com All-Region team are eligible for All-American selection. The women's All-American team will be announced at a time to be announced by D3hoops.com.
This is the 19th year D3hoops.com has named an All-Region team and this year's All-America team will be the 23rd annual All-American selections. The D3hoops.com All-American teams, along with those of the respective coaches' associations, are the only ones recognized in the NCAA record book.
