Aurora University men’s cross country runner sophomore Drew Schmitt (Batavia, Ill./Batavia H.S.) has been named Northern Athletics Conference Men’s Cross Country Student-Athlete of the Week for the third consecutive week.

Schmitt broke his previous school record by two seconds while winning the Concordia University Wisconsin Falcon Invitational on Saturday with a time of 26:36 in the 8K.

The next action for Schmitt and the men’s cross country team comes on Friday, September 24, 2010, when they travel to the Brisman Lundeen Invitational at Augustana College. Meet time is set for 4:45 p.m. in Rock Island, Ill.
