Throughout the 2020-2021 year, the Aurora University athletic department will highlight the senior student-athletes. The seniors will provide some insight to their time at AU while getting to know them as individuals they have grown into in their time as a Spartan.

Senior Spotlight: Skyler Yamamoto (Baseball)
Major:Â Exercise science with a minor in physiology
What are your plans after graduation? After graduation I will be attending the exercise science plus one program and playing my extra year of baseball.
What is your most memorable/best academic experience at AU? Intramural dodgeball for sure.
What is your most memorable athletic moment at AU? Lifting competitions for baseball.
Other than the sport(s) you play; what other sports activity are you good at? I'm not exactly good at it but I do enjoy surfing and weightlifting.
Outside of sports, what is your favorite hobby or activity? I like to work out and eat good food.
What AU faculty or staff member had the greatest impact on you and why? Coach DeGeorge back when he was here. He always brought a lot of energy to the team.
What do you enjoy most and least about practice? I really enjoy facing my own teammates. I don't enjoy all the running.
Do you have any pregame rituals? I have way too many to even list.
What advice would you give to underclassmen at AU? Manage your time and don't be afraid to ask for help.
If you had to listen to one song on repeat forever, what would it be and why? Any old Taylor Swift songs. I honestly listen to a variety of music but that would have to be my pick.
What is something that people may not know about you but should? Nothing, I'm an open book.
If you could spend an hour each with three people (past or present), who would you choose and why? Mila Kunis, Margot Robbie, and Amy Jackson.
