Aurora University senior forward Nick Helmer (Geneva, Ill./Geneva HS) was named the Northern Athletics Conference Men’s Soccer Student-Athlete of the Week for the week ending October 31, 2010. The award is the second consecutive for Helmer and third on the season. 

Helmer tallied two goals in the Spartans' 6-0 win at Benedictine University. His game-
winning goal against the Eagles gave him a team high four on the season and secured AU with a bye in the opening round of the NAC tournament.

Helmer and the Spartan men’s soccer team are in action next on Tuesday, November 2, 2010, when they host Milwaukee School of Engineering in the NAC tournament semi final. Game time is set for 1:00 p.m. on Vago Field.
