Aurora University football quarterback Tyler Adkins was named the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Football Offensive Player of the Week as selected by a panel of the NACC Athletic Communication professionals.

Adkins earned the honor after he paced the Aurora offense to a 72-6 homecoming victory over Concordia Chicago. Adkins was efficient on the afternoon, finishing 18-of-23 through the air for 227 yards and six touchdown passes in three quarters of action. He had touchdowns strikes of 37, 34, 13, 11, 10 and 2 yards. 

On the season, Adkins is 78-of-130 passing for 1,099 yards and 13 touchdowns with three interceptions. He is averaging 274.75 yards per game for the (3-1 overall and 2-0 NACC) Spartans.

Next action for the Spartan football team comes on Saturday, October 5 when they travel to Wisconsin Lutheran College. Kick-off is slated for 1:00 p.m. in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
