Aurora University senior Deedee Colon Maldonado was named Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) Cross Country Student-Athlete of the Week, as selected by the league's athletics communications professionals. 

Colon Maldonado earned the honor after she won the women's individual title at the 2024 Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) Cross Country Championships. She stopped the clock in 21:41.95 - just seven-tenths of a second off the NACC Championship record set by Emma Roberts of Benedictine in 2019. It was the second consecutive individual crown for the all-American and capped a career consisting of four top-three finishes (3-2-1-1) at the NACC Championships. It is the seventh time an AU runner has captured the women's individual title.

Next action for the Spartan women's cross-country team comes on Thursday, November 7 when they travel to the North Central College Red-White meet at 4:00 p.m. in Warrenville, Illinois at St. James Farm.
