Aurora University senior Steven Tinsley was named Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) Men's Indoor Track and Field Student-Athlete of the Week, as selected by the league's athletics communications professionals. 

Tinsley earned the honor after he posted NACC season-best marks in both the shot put and weight throw at last weekend's Wartburg Qualifier. He won the shot put with a throw of 16.88 meters (55-4 3/4) and took third in the weight throw with an effort of 19.11 meters (62-8 1/2). Tinsley finished the regular season tied for eighth in the weight throw and 12th in the shot put on the NCAA Division III performance list, allowing him to qualify for the national meet in both events.

Next action for Tinsley will come in the shot put and weight throw in his first NCAA championship appearance. The shot put will take place at 11:00 a.m. (est) / 10:00 a.m. (cst) on Saturday with the weight throw at 10:00 a.m. (est) / 9:00 a.m. (cst) Friday.
