Aurora University freshman pitcher Katelyn Serafin has been named Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) Softball Student-Athlete of the Week, as selected by the league's athletics communications professionals. The second time on the season that she has earned the award.

Serafin earned the honor after she went 2-0 on the weekend with wins over MSOE (4-3 in 15 innings) and Rockford (8-0 in five innings). Serafin tossed 20 innings to earn two wins with a 15-inning win over MSOE in which she allowed three runs while striking out four and scattering nine hits over the 15 frames worked. She then bounced back the next day to toss a complete game five inning shutout over Rockford, allowing just one hit and striking out six.

Next scheduled action for the Spartan softball team comes on Thursday, May 1 when they travel to Lakeland University. First pitch of the doubleheader is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. in Plymouth, Wisconsin.
