Aurora University softball freshman pitcherNatalie Zanella (Caledonia, Wis./Union Grove H.S.) was named Northern Athletics Conference Softball Pitcher of the Week for the week ending March 4. 
 
Zanella got the complete-game victory in her first collegiate start for the Spartans, who are 3-1 on their spring trip so far. The rookie pitched eight innings in a 1-0 win over Baldwin-Wallace. She allowed two hits and struck out seven in her debut from the circle.
 
Next action for the Spartans comes on Wednesday, March 7, when they play Bluffton College (9 a.m.) and Catholic University (11 a.m.) in Kissimmee, Fla.
