Macey Brooks

Macey Brooks joins the AU coaching staff as an assistant coach with his primary duties being with the wide receivers.

Brooks comes to the Spartan staff with a wealth of knowledge from his days in the National Football League (NFL). Brooks played five seasons in the NFL with the Dallas Cowboys (1997), Chicago Bears (1998-2000) and Oakland Raiders (2002) as a wide receiver.

A 1997 graduate of James Madison University with a bachelor’s degree in health services administration, Brooks was drafted in the fourth round of the NFL draft by the Dallas Cowboys. While at James Madison, Brooks was a two-time I-AA All-American and a two-time All-Conference First-Team selection.

Brooks was also a highly decorated baseball player, having been drafted by the Kansas City Royals in the 44th round of the Major League Baseball draft and again in the second round by the San Francisco Giants. Brooks was invited to the 1996 Olympic Baseball team and participated in the Cape Cod Summer League.
