Box Score The AU Spartan women's soccer team hosted the rival Eagles of Benedictine University Tuesday afternoon on Vago Field and dominated the action from the initial kickoff to earn the 1-0 win.

AU out shot Benedictine 23 to 3 in the game with Spartan sophomore goalkeeper Liz Wong not even picking up a save in her 90 minutes of shutout time in goal, while opposing goalkeeper from Benedictine Michelle Del Sarto had 14 saves.

The Spartans got on the scoreboard just 1:32 into the game when freshman forward Nicole Wolfe blistered a shot past Del Sarto for the eventual game-winning goal. Senior midfielder Christine Kwilosz assisted on the goal.

The offense continued to put pressure on Del Sarto the remaining 88:28 of play but could not manage to light the lamp again.

AU concluded with 12 corner kicks to just one for Benedictine to improve their record to 10-3 overall and 7-0 in the NAC.
