The Aurora University Spartan volleyball team fell 3-1 (16-25, 22-25, 25-21, 22-25) to the Wisconsin Lutheran College Warriors in Northern Athletics Conference action Tuesday evening in AU's Thornton
Gymnasium.
The visiting Warriors jumped out to a 2-0 lead on AU winning the first two sets 25-16 and 25-22.
In the third set, AU got the home crowd back into the action winning 25-21. Junior outside hitter
Brittany Budimier led the way in the set with four kills along with freshman middle hitter Nealy Marks who added four kills herself.
The fourth and final set of the evening went in favor of the visiting Warriors 25-22. Much like the second set, the Spartans and Warriors battled back and forth until the visitors were able to gain momentum late and secure the set and match win.
With the loss, AU is now 5-16 overall and 2-4 in the NAC. The Spartans host Maranatha Baptist Bible College on Friday, October 7 at 8:00 p.m. in Thornton Gymnasium.
