The AU baseball team is 32-8 overall and 18-4 in the Northern Athletics Conference. With the 18-4 conference record, AU captured the 2012 NAC Championship, the school's first in the NAC in baseball and 21st in program history.

The top-seeded Spartans can be seen in action next on Thursday, May 10, 2012, when they take on Dominican University in the 2012 NAC Tournament hosted by Marian University in Fond du lac, Wis. Game time is set for 1 p.m. at Marian's Herr-Baker Field.

The Capital One Academic All-District teams are selected by CoSIDA member sports information directors within the district based on the student-athletes' academic prowess while being a steady influence on their respective athletic field.
