The No. 16 ranked Aurora University Women's Soccer team defeated the visiting Concordia University Chicago Cougars 2-0
Tuesday afternoon on Vago Field.

After multiple chances on goal early in the first-half, sophomore
Nicci Bermudes finally connected with the back of the net from a left footed shot 14:50 into the game. Junior
Nicole Wolfe was awarded the assist to put the Spartans up 1-0.

The Spartans went into the halftime intermission with a 1-0 lead and outshooting the visiting Cougars 12-0.

The second half began like the first half finished. It was all Spartans and with 33:00 left in regulation, Bermudes struck the crossbar on a free kick, which would have been her second of the game.

AU continued to pressure the Cougars and with 19:20 left in the game, Wolfe scored on a 27-yard shot, which was assisted by Bermudes.

The Spartans finished the game with 17 shots and allowing the visiting Cougars none.
AU is now 7-1 overall and 3-0 in the NACC. Next action for the Spartan women's soccer team comes on Sunday,
September 29, when they host Lakeland College. Game time is set for 1:30 p.m. on Vago Field.
