The Aurora University Spartan women's basketball team took on the Falcons from Concordia University Wisconsin Saturday afternoon in Aurora's Thornton Gymnasium. Aurora captured an early lead before being overcome by CUW by a final score of 68-35.
The Spartans came out looking strong on both sides of the ball with good ball movement and forcing outside shots from the Falcons. This play resulted in AU having a 9-7 lead over five minutes into the game.
CUW made their adjustments and answered with an 18-2 scoring run to take a 25-11 lead late in the first half. Spartan
Shannon Koski broke the streak with five consecutive points, a three pointer and two free throws, to pull the Spartans to within nine. The Falcons countered quickly and were able to take a 32-18 lead into.
