The Aurora University women's soccer team had two student-athletes named to the 2014 National Soccer Coaches Association of America Scholar All-America Teams. Senior midfielder
Lisa Bajkowski (Oswego, Illinois/Oswego H.S.) and junior forward
Nicci Bermudes (San Diego, California/University City H.S.) received the top academic honors from the NSCAA. Bermudes was selected as a Second-Team member and Bajkowski was named a Third-Team member.

The NSCAA recognized select collegiate student-athletes as 2014 NSCAA Scholar All-Americans for their dual accomplishments on the field and in the classroom.

To be named to a Scholar All-America Team, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.30 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) throughout his or her career, start more than 50 percent of all games, be a significant contributor to the team, and be nominated by an institution that is a current NSCAA member.

Bajkowski is a strategic communication major. The NSCAA Third-Team Scholar All-America award follows her being named NSCAA First-Team All-Region, the NACC Defensive Player of the Year and First-Team All-Conference. On the season, Bajkoswki had four goals and eight assists while anchoring an AU defense that allowed 0.65 goals per game and shutout 13 opponents.

Bermudes is a health science major and had a record setting 2014 season on the playing field. She gained her NSCAA Second Team Scholar All-America selection after being named NSCAA Second-Team All-American, CoSIDA/Capital One Academic All-America First-Team, NSCAA First-Team All-Region, the 2014 Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) Offensive Player of the Year and First-Team All-Conference. She finished 2014 with new AU single season records for goals (35), game winning goals (12) and points (82).

As a junior, Bermudes is the career record holder in game winning goals (25) and is approaching the records for career goals (has 69 with the record being 73) and career points (has 170 with the record being 174).

The AU women's soccer program made its 11th NCAA Division III Women's Soccer Championship appearance in the past 14 seasons, won the program's first NCAA contest and advanced to the NCAA Sweet 16.

The Spartans finished the 2014 season on a 20-game unbeaten streak, with a 19-3-2 overall record and were the 2014 Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Champions with a 10-0 record.
