In the second game of a two game set with St. Mary's University, the Aurora University Spartan hockey team lost 11-2 to the Cardinal.
AU fell behind in the first period with St. Mary's scoring three goals on AU goalkeeper
Paul Favaro.
In the second period, AU continued to fall behind, giving up five more goals before
Michael Mikulan broke the scoreless game for AU with an unassisted goal.
The third period was much of the same story with AU being out scored three to one with the AU goal coming off the stick of senior
Jimmie Perkins with assists from
Ryan Davlantes and
Jacob Huspen.
AU is now 1-7 in NCAA contests and 6-8 overall. Next action for the Spartan hockey team comes on
Sunday, December 7 when they host the College of St. Scholastica. Game time is set for 2:30 p.m. at the Fox Valley Ice Arena in Geneva, Illinois.
