The Aurora University Athletic Department finished the 2013-14 academic year 163rd out of more than 420 Division III athletic programs in the 2013-14 Learfield Sports Directors' Cup Division III standings. The Learfield Sports Directors' Cup is a comprehensive ranking of intercollegiate athletic departments based on their participation in NCAA Championship events.
The Spartan women's soccer and women's cross country programs participated in NCAA Division III Championship events during the fall, helping AU accumulate 57 points in that season to place 96th through the Fall Directors' Cup standings. The Spartans did not earn points in the Winter Directors' Cup Standings and dropped to 185th place. In the Spring NCAA Championship season AU rebounded to earn 58 points from the participation of the men's lacrosse and women's track and field at Division III Championship events.
AU placed the highest among Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) programs with 115 points and a 163rd place finish. Concordia University Wisconsin finished with 94.5 points in 191st place, Edgewood College finished with 61 points in 229th place and Benedictine University finished with 55 points in 234th place.
