The Aurora University volleyball team needed to come from behind at Marian University on Saturday afternoon to knock off the host Sabres 3-2 in a Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference match-up.

HOW IT HAPPENEDAU dropped the opening set 25-22 in a back and forth contest that was a one-point contest (23-22) before the final two Sabre points.
The second set was also closely played the teams trading leads throughout but AU fell 25-23.
Trailing 2-0 in the game, the Spartans took an early lead and coasted to a 25-13 win.
Much like the first two sets, the fourth set was a closely played back and forth affair. Trailing 22-21 the Spartans scored the last four points to tie the game up 2-2
The fifth and final set was controlled by the Spartans who ran away with a 15-9 win.

FOR THE SPARTANSPeyton McKenzie had a double-double with 29 kills and 16 digs.
Emily Lines had a double -double with 57 assists and 16 digs.
Nikki Lofshult had 30 digs.
Lauren Marsh had 26 digs and seven kills.
Alexis Hammond had 13 kills.
FOR THE FOESJessica Roberts had 22 kills.
Amber Baker had 45 assists.
