The Aurora University volleyball team took on a non-conference opponent in Wheaton College on Friday evening in Wheaton, Illinois and fell to the Thunder 3-1 (19-25, 13-25, 25-23, 17-25).

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Spartans fell behind quickly in the opening set 12-4, battled back but fell 25-19.
The second set saw the Spartans fall behind and lose 25-13.
In the third set, the Spartans would win 25-23 and extend the match. AU came from behind late including scoring 10 of the last 12 points.
An early 4-4 score turned against AU as Wheaton had a 5-0 run and held on 25-17.

Peyton McKenzie led the Spartans with 14 kills.
Hannah Lanasa had 13 kills on the night.
Emily Lines had 35 assists to lead the Spartans.

Shelby Knowles had 24 kills.
