The Aurora University women's basketball team lost a non-conference road battle to Elmhurst College on Tuesday night 79-68.

HOW IT HAPPENED
AU fell behind in the first period 26-17 despite shooting 50 percent from the field.
Elmhurst expanded their lead heading into halftime to 11 points, 48-37.
The Spartans cut into the deficit in the third period and trailed 60-51 after three periods.
The fourth period was evenly played with the Spartans falling 79-68.
AU shot 40.3 percent from the field while Elmhurst shot 48.3 percent.

Bethany Dorrington led the Spartans with 18 points and seven rebounds.
Mallory Cast had 10 points.
Ashley Wilk had nine points and eight rebounds.

Kaela Jones had 14 points.
Michaela Kumer had 13 points.
Claire Monroe had 12 points.
