Late goals do in Spartans at St. Mary's

After a short break, the Aurora University hockey team got back on the ice at St. Mary's University in Winona, Minnesota. Three goals in the final eight minutes of the third period did in the Spartans as they fell 7-4.

HOW IT HAPPENED
St. Mary's scored the games first goal on the power play at 6:29 of the first.
An unassisted goal by AU's Vincent Currao tied the game at 9:52.
The Spartans took the lead, 2-1 with a goal from Connor Jonasson with assists from Trevor Hoth and Gregory Sauers.
St. Mary's got two goals in 1:38 (18:00 and 19:38) to take a 3-2 lead.
With one second left in the first period, Ian Sweeney sent the Spartans to the locker room tied at 3-3. Paul Lochner assisted on the play.
On a penalty kill in the second period, Jonasson gave AU the 4-3 lead with an assist from Rihards Marenis.
The only other goal of the period came from St. Mary's at 14:21.
St. Mary's scored three goals in the third period, with one being an empty net goal. All three goals came in the final 7:42 of the game.
