AU men see season end in shootout at MSOE

The Aurora University men's soccer program headed to Milwaukee, Wisconsin on Tuesday night to take on the Raiders of Milwaukee School of Engineering in the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Tournament semi-final. The Spartans and Raiders played to a 3-3 tie through two overtimes with MSOE advancing in the shootout by a 5-3 score.

HOW IT HAPPENED
MSOE got the only goal of the first-half in the 21st minute from Logan Andryk.
The first 12:52 of the second-half provided a lot of excitement as AU scored three times and MSOE once for a 3-2 score.
Angel Barajas got the scoring for AU started at 46:37 with an assist from Jordan Schure.
At 52:07, Jacob Goehring gave AU the lead with an assist from Steven Soderstrom.
MSOE tied the game up at 2-2 at 54:02 with a goal from Sean Tabbert wth Andryk getting an assist.
AU's Ben Edith regained the lead shortly after at 57:52 with a steal and goal.
As time was running down, MSOE got a foul all and free kick from 22 yards out. Andryk converted to tie the game 3-3 at 86:06.
MSOE converted all five of their shots in the shootout with AU converting three of four.
MSOE out shot the Spartans on the night 28 to 14.
MSOE had an advantage in corner kicks over AU 12 to 5.
