For the third time in four games the Aurora University men's basketball team went over the 100-point plateau. On Tuesday night, the Spartans defeated the visiting Cougars of Concordia University Chicago 126-95 in Thornton Gymnasium.

HOW IT HAPPENEDEarly in the first half both teams traded baskets, several from beyond the three-point arc.
Four minutes into the game, CUC led 13-11. AU then embarked on an 18-0 run and took a commanding lead 29-13 with just under 12 minutes left.
AU continued to show their scoring prowess and led by as many as 28 points before taking a 73-46 lead into halftime.
The Spartans shot 61.5- percent (24-of-39) from the field in the first half with Concordia Chicago shooting 32.6-percent.
The Spartans out rebounded the Cougars 31 to 21 in the half with AU assisting on 17 of their 24 made baskets.
After AU pushed the lead past 30, Concordia made a short run to cut the lead to 21 with 14:45 to play in the game but that was the closest the visitors would get in the game.
A three-point field goal from
Nick Kladis at 8:20 in the game pushed the Spartans past the 100-point mark. The third time in four games.
After clearing the bench yet again in the second-half, AU pushed their lead to as many as 34-points before the final score of 126-95.
Aurora shot 57.3-percent on the night (47-of-82) and the Cougars shot 37.8-percent (31-of-82).
The Spartans out rebounded the Cougars 59 to 38.

FOR THE SPARTANSAU played all 16 dressed players in the first-half, scoring 73 points. 15 of 16 Spartans scored in the game.
Six Spartans registered double digit scoring totals on the night.
Kalmon Stokes led the Spartans with 20 points and nine rebounds. He added three highlight reel dunks as well.
Tyler Hall recorded 18 points, eight assists and seven rebounds.
Phil Schuetz had 18 points. and six rebounds.
Quincy Jackson had 13 points.
Jordan LaGrone had 12 points.
Nick Kladis had 10 points.

FOR THE FOESKylan Anderson led the Cougars with 38 and six rebounds.
Mitch Pelissier had 25 points.
DeAires Blackwell had 10 points and 10 rebounds.
