The Aurora University Spartans rallied from a double-digit deficit in the second-half to defeat Rhodes College in Memphis, Tennessee 107-95 in overtime on Sunday afternoon. AU played with a shortened roster due to illness that struck the team over night.

HOW IT HAPPENEDThe teams traded baskets and leads over the first 12 minutes of the game and with under eight to play the game was tied 23-23.
Rhodes used a 12-3 in just over three minutes to lead AU 35-26 with 4:45 to play.
Trailing by six (45-39), AU finished the half with a 5-0 run behind a three and lay-up from
Nick Kladis.
The teams went into halftime with a 45-44 score.
AU shot just 38.2-percent (13-34) while Rhodes was hot from the field, shooting 58.1-percent (18-31).
Rhodes led throughout a majority of the second-half and with 5:40 to play, led by 10 at 78-68.
An 8-1 run over the next two minutes cut the AU deficit to three at 79-76.
Rhodes did push the lead back to seven (83-76) with 2:54 left in the game.

Tyler Hall ran off five quick points over the next 35 seconds to cut the lead to two.
After a Rhodes free-throw,
Jordan LaGrone tied the game with a made three and 28 seconds to play.
Both teams turned the ball over on possessions down the stretch, sending the game into overtime.
In overtime, AU out-scored Rhodes 23-11, led by nine points from Kladis and seven from
Chris Fritsch.
The Spartans made three, three-pointers on the first three possessions to take a 93-86 lead.
Rhodes sent AU to the free throw line in the final 1:27 of the overtime with the Spartans going a perfect 10-of-10 from the line to seal with win.
FOR THE SPARTANSNick Kladis led all scorers with 34 points on 6-of-11 shooting from three-point range.
Chris Fritsch had 17 points and five rebounds.
Kalmon Stokes had 15 points and seven rebounds.
Tyler Hall had 14 points, six rebounds and five assists.

Jeremy LaGrone had eight points, seven assists and three steals.
