HOW IT HAPPENED
The Spartans got out to the early 13-5 lead with just three minutes into the half, eight points coming from senior Tyler Hall.
Lakeland quickly responded with an 10-2 run, to bring the Muskies in front by two (17-15) with 15:00 minutes left in the half.
The Spartans and Muskies traded baskets for the next 13:00 minutes until the Spartans found their rhythm off of a three from senior Kalmon Stokes which put the Spartans ahead 47-44 with 1:48 remaining in the half.
The Spartans, fueled by the Stokes three, ended the first half on an 11-0 run and send them to the locker room up 55-44.
The second half saw the Spartans trade baskets for the first two minutes of the half and then burst out on an 12-4 run and forced Lakeland to call a timeout with 17:02 remaining in the second half.
Aurora continued adding to their lead, after a monstrous dunk from Stokes forced Lakeland to take a timeout with 6:51 remaining in the game. AU had their largest lead at that point by 19 (88-71).
Aurora would take their biggest lead of the game off of a three-pointer from Jordan LaGrone with just 00:32 left in the game to extend Aurora's lead to 25, 105-80.
The Spartans maintained a double digit lead the final 18:20 of the game.
