Spartans take plunge for Special Olympics

On Sunday, March 8, 20 members of the Aurora University Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and women's lacrosse program participated in the Yorkville Polar Plunge at Loon Lake in Yorkville, Illinois in support of Special Olympics.

The 20 Spartan student-athletes brave enough to take the challenge of jumping into the ice covered lake, also raised over $1,700 for Special Olympics.

This years plunge marked the fourth consecutive year that the AU SAAC has participated in a polar plunge event.
