The Aurora University men's lacrosse team visited the Fighting Scots of the College of Wooster on Saturday March 7, 2015 for the Spartans fifth game of the year and third straight road game. The Spartans were unable to overcome the Scots with a 15-7 final score.
 
The Spartans stepped into Pepp Stadium in a mildly cool afternoon in Wooster, Ohio. AU struck first with Trevor McNamara scoring on a spectacular dodge on the Spartans first possession of the game. But the Scots responded with five unanswered goals and it was not until five minutes remained in the first that the Spartans would end the run on a Max Matthai score, his first of the year.
 
AU's Jason Koziol scored a man-up goal with 2:02 to p[lay in the first to cut the lead to 5-3 but Wooster would score again to take a 6-3 lead after one quarter. It remained the Scots game for most of the second quarter as they built an 8-3 lead as the clock ticked below two minutes. That was when AU sophomore Bailey Smith capitalized and buried one in the back of the net with 1:40 remaining in the half.
 
After another face off win by senior Max Obriecht, the Spartans looked to cut their deficit by a goal with a minute remaining. Koziol found Jordan Williams for a heater with 0:31 seconds remaining that led to the score at halftime 8-5 Scots.
 
The third quarter saw the Scots score first at 9:14 on a man-up situation and the score remained 9-5 well into the third. Koziol added his second goal of the game at 2:52 to keep the Spartans within striking distance at three goals, 9-6. But just before the end of the quarter, Wooster tallied a goal to take a 10-6 lead into the final time period.
 
The fourth quarter was sloppy for the Spartans as the Scots tallied five goals to the Spartans one with three of the Wooster goals coming to start the quarter. With 5:30 to play, AU trailed by seven at 13-6. 

AU's final goal came on a man-up from senior Garret Rosiek but Wooster answered with two more for the final 15-7 score.

With the loss, AU is now 1-4 overall. Next action for the Spartan men's lacrosse team comes on Friday, March 13, 2015 when they travel to John Carroll University. Game time is set for 7:30 p.m. (EST) in University Heights, Ohio.
