A non-conference match-up was on the docket for the Aurora University women's lacrosse team as they traveled to Carroll University and coasted to an 18-7 win.
AU scored just 23 seconds into the game with an
Andrea Colford goal and never looked back, building a 10-2 lead at halftime. Scoring for the Spartans in the first half was Colford (four goals and one assist),
Kenny Hughes (three goals and two assists),
Taylor Arcivar (one goal),
Rachel Cochran (one goal and one assist),
Danielle Morgan (one goal),
Chloe Madison (two assists) and
Lauren Whitfield (one assist).
Coming out of the halftime intermission, AU surrendered three of the first four goals to Carroll and found their lead dwindle down to six at 11-5. But a 7-0 run and eight of the last nine goals went AU's way for the eventual 18-7 win.
Hughes scored the first goal for AU in the second half and added two more for six on the day. Madison scored three goals and added an assist to finish the day with six points and Cochran, Arcivar and Morgan each scored their second goals of the game with one apiece in the second half and Cochran picked up an assist.

Allee Samuel finished the day with the win as she had four saves.
With the win, AU finishes the regular season with a 10-6 overall record and were 6-1 in the MWLC. The 10 wins is a Spartan women's lacrosse school record in the programs third season of action.

Friday, May 1 when they play in the first round of the Midwest Women's Lacrosse Conference Tournament. AU takes on Beloit College at Concordia University Wisconsin. Game time is set for 4:00 p.m. in Mequon, Wisconsin.
