A three hour trip to Mount Vernon, Iowa for a Midwest Women's Lacrosse Conference was on the books for the Aurora University women's lacrosse team against Cornell College. The Spartans used a big second half for a come from behind win, 11-5 that pushed AU back to a .500 record at 5-5.
The Spartans scored three times in the first-half but a late goal by Cornell sent AU to halftime trailing 4-3. Scoring for the Spartans was

Taylor Arcivar.
The second-half was a different story as the Spartans used an 8-0 run to grab a commanding lead and the eventual 11-5 win. Arvicar started the scoring run at 21:15 and was followed by goals were scored from
Danielle Morgan, who scored three times, and Arcivar then scored the game winner with an assist from
Kenny Hughes. Hughes,
Andrea Colford and
Chloe Madison added scores.
AU freshman
Allee Samuel had two saves in the win which improved the Spartans to 5-5 overall and 3-1 in the MWLC. Next action for the Spartan women's lacrosse comes on Satur
day, April 11 when they host the College of Mount St. Joseph. Game time is set for 1:00 p.m. on Vago Field.
