The Aurora University men's soccer team dropped the 2015 season opener at Augustana College 2-1 in double overtime on Tuesday evening in Moline, Illinois.
After a scoreless first-half, the Spartans fell behind 1-0 in the 58th minute but responded quickly. Just over six minutes later, junior
Kyle Pierson scored to tie the match up at 1-1 Pierson was assisted by Angel Barajas on the play.

Zach McFarland was stout in net as the teams finished regulation tied up 1-1.
Following a scoreless first overtime, the home Vikings got the golden goal 3:10 into the second overtime session.
With the season opening loss, AU is 0-1. Next action for the Spartan men's soccer team comes on
