The Aurora University volleyball team returned for day two of the highly competitive University of Chicago Gargoyle Invitational and fell in both contests 3-0 against Chicago and Millikin University.
In the days first match against Chicago, AU fell 25-23, 25-14, 25-23 with the 25-23 becoming a theme for the day.
Peyton McKenzie had a team-high 12 kills with
Lauren Marsh adding 11 and
Destiny Stuersel handing out 22 assists.
The second and final match against Millikin started just as the Chicago match ended with a pair of 25-23 losses. The third set saw AU fall 25-13. McKenzie had 14 kills in the match and
Emily Lines had 25 assists.
AU is now 0-3 on the season. Next action for the Spartan volleyball team comes on
Wednesday, September 9 when they host North Park University. Match time is set for 7:00 p.m. in Thornton Gymnasium.
